Will your Car Alert you to a Burst Tyre?
On July 14, 2017 by DwightOften, the first thing you will know about a burst tyre is when your car suddenly becomes out of control as the wheels skid. However, some cars will tell you when there is a change in tyre pressure, alerting you to the fact that there could be a burst tyre. It’s usually only the newest types of car that will do this so if your vehicle is not brand new, it probably won’t come with this technology.
If you want to check whether your car has this feature, check in the manual that came with it. This will have all of the information you need. It will also tell you how your car will present the alert to you – it will usually be a light or message that will flash up on the dashboard. If you see this message, check your tyres immediately. It could just be that the pressure has dropped slightly.
