Check your Car’s Oil Levels

On December 25, 2017 by Dwight

Oil is an important part of the car engine. It is used to keep the engine lubricated and to keep all parts running correctly so you don’t encounter problems whilst driving. Oil has a very important function and needs to be checked regularly, probably at least once every couple of months.

To check your car’s oil levels, you first need to open up the bonnet. If you’re not sure how to do this, look in the car’s manual. There will usually be a lever or switch to use. Once the tank is open, look for the dipstick. This is the part of the engine where oil is kept and the dipstick will show you the levels. Remove it, wipe it down, replace it, then remove it again to see the oil level. The level will be shown on the dipstick. It should also indicate whether this is an acceptable level.
